Young Life Tee

A while ago I worked on a teeshirt for Young Life Edmonton, a fantastic youth organization. It was for their summer camp, so i thought a boyscout and merit badges would be appropriate for that kind of thing.

Also...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Why Me?

Just a little something for fun. I empathize with all those poor sad people on the public transit now that the weather is getting colder.

Vue Weekly spots

Recently i've been working on a bunch of sci-fi/horror themed spots for Vue Weekly. They're for a series of articles on How To Be a Musician, which discuss topics like merchandising, recording, record labels, etc. Here are the first two drawings for the series.

#1's topic is Home Recording, and it appeared in this week's issue. #2 is on Studio Recording and will show up sometime next month. The rest of the 10 illustrations will come out over the next year, one per month.

Applied Arts Magazine

My work has recently appeared in the current (October) issue of Applied Arts, Canada's Visual Communications Magazine. It's included under an article about my college, Alberta College of Art and Design, along with the work of some other great designers from my grad class. So check it out!

Zombies! AHHH!

I was recently asked to illustrate a cover for Vue Weekly, a weekly entertainment magazine here in Edmonton. The feature story was about how to survive the music industry, so I ended up drawing a zombie theme illustration to represent the struggles of a musician. Great fun and great people to work with.

Unfortunately the magazine is off the racks by now, but I will put up some images of the actual cover real soon.

Vacationzzzzzzzzz

Apologies to the three people that view this blog. I have been on vacation in Asia for the last few weeks, hence the lack of activity. So for now, here's a picture of some monks in Thailand taking in a crocodile show.
